Event Recycling

Thousands of residents attend events that take place throughout Las Cruces and Doña County all year long. What better way for events and organizers to show their commitment to recycling and waste reduction within the community than to offer recycling at events. As a part of our efforts to help increase recycling within Las Cruces and Doña County, we encourage event coordinators and organizations that host events within Las Cruces to be a green events and recycle more.

Our Event Recycling Containers (ERCs) are available for your organization to borrow to use at your next event*. These containers are designed to collect aluminum cans and plastic bottles. Offering recycling at your event is a great way to show your patrons your commitment to recycling and waste reduction.

Things to Consider

  • Reservations are subject to availability and acceptance on; first-come, first-serve basis.
  • You must make arrangements to pick up and return the containers. SCSWA does not deliver or pick up containers.
  • All clean, collected recyclables MUST be brought to the Recycling Center (2855 W Amador) or Foothills Landfill Recycling Center (555 S Sonoma Ranch Boulevard) for recycling.
    • Bags of material with more than 10% waste/trash items are not eligible for recycling.
  • Rented containers must be returned to SCSWA within 3 business following your event.
